Gustav Stresemann (1879- 1929), who was honored together with his French colleague Aristide Briand with the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1926, gained notoriety for his style of clothing. The classic Stresemann suit consists of a black/grey striped trousers and a single row jacket in black or anthracite. The Souvern of Pelikan is popularly known as “Stresemann,prompting Pelikan to name theblack-anthraciteSouvern after Gustav Stresemann himself. Now Pelikan offers the Souvern in black-anthracitein sizes 800 and 400, inaddition to popular size 600. The barrel, comprised ofsimple anthracite stripes is made of cellulose acetate.High-quality resin is used in finally tuned black elements. The clip and the rings are plated with palladium.
